Rhythm and Practice
Cultivating a deeper intimacy with God
All of our lives have a certain rhythm to them, some more chaotic than others. This Wednesday night study is a seven-week series where we will learn to cultivate rhythms and practices in our own lives that lead us to a deeper intimacy with God, others, ourselves, and the world around us.
Practicing for anything is difficult and takes effort. Whether it is learning the piano, a new language, or playing sports, rhythms and practice have to be implemented into our daily lives in order for us to develop new habits. It is the same in our spiritual lives. As we embody certain rhythms and practices day after day, we are formed into the image of Christ. As we are formed by Christ, we are then formed in community.
Some of these rhythms and practices emphasize community while others focus on our individual lives. The important thing is, by participating together, we are drawn more intimately to one another and journey as a community towards the heart of God.
